Heading out from Mahone Bay, where the schooner was featured in the annual wooden boat festival. Everyone's excited and smiling!

Pirate Crew ready to raid Chester after spending two cosy nights in the "Last Resort" cabin on Cross Island.

Snug at the wharf at Cross Island, safe and sound with great views of the open Atlantic a short hike away. Safe here from even a huricane!

Digging for dinner: "clam sauce fettuccini"

Crew picture during hike out to Cross Island lighthouse. We see several deer as well as a display of dive-bombing gannets, fishing for their supper.

Testing our wings on an ocean facing cliff, with a full view of the north Atlantic in front of us!

Our photographer and second mate, Philip, enjoying a sail on the wild side! Homeward bound to historic Lunenburg port.

A quiet anchorage in Big Tancook Harbour. The Islanders gather on the shore to admire our vessel. The crew heads to the Island's only store for icecream!

Fresh breeze and warm sun. This is what Mahone Bay sailing is all about!

Spencer bailing out the tender. Refuse Island in the background. His natty nautical uniforms made him an instant attraction in all our ports of call.

Beautiful sunset at a Covey Island anchorage. Seals pop up to inspect our trim, and Great Blue Herons fly overhead, welcoming the visitors "from away"!

 WE DID IT!

The trip ends on the historic Lunenburg pier. Canada's Bluenose II arrives at the same time to participate in the annual Fishermens' Festival.
